Manures and Fertilizers

Manure: Manure is an organic compound (rich in nutrients) obtained by the decomposition of plant and animal wastes by microbes. Sometimes before ploughing the manure is added to the soil. This is done for proper mixing of manure with soil. Plants continously absorb nutrients from the soil and in this way fertility of soil decreases. To make the soil fertile and productive, manures are added to the soil. This process is called manuring.Manuring is done to increase the fertility of the soil before seed is sown in field.
